Adrift Gardens and Yarducopia are excited to announce two March workshops: Designing Your Garden and Seed Starting from Scratch. Each two-hour virtual workshop is hands-on, with a supply list sent out in advance and materials available for pickup on request (seeds, soil, seedling trays, lights, etc) so that, despite being geographically apart, we can work through the topics together.
In Designing Your Garden, we’ll talk through important factors to consider when planning your garden, from vision, to layout, to plant selection. By the end of the session, you’ll have a sketch and plan unique to your garden. The workshop is on March 9 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Seed Starting from Scratch is a chance to do just that – start your seeds! We’ll send out a list of supplies to have on hand, and we’ll have trays, seedling mix, seeds, and more available for participants to pick up as needed. During the workshop, we’ll walk you through the process of planting and talk through keys to success and the most common missteps. Experienced seed starters are welcome, as this is also a fun chance to ‘hang out’ with fellow gardeners. The workshop is scheduled for March 30 from 6:30-8:30 PM, a great time to start many of the tried and true favorite plants for Alaskan vegetable gardens.

Both workshops are open to anyone, with a sliding scale fee. Donate $25 if you can, and we’ll pay it forward by keeping registration discounted and free for those who can’t. Register for:

Pay your registration fee by making a donation on ACAT’s website (Click the donate button and add Yarducopia and the workshop you’re taking where it says ‘special instructions to seller’)
